WHO'S GOT "SWAGGER"??????

.

For the past month everyone seems to have this mysterious attitude called "swagger"; that word just gets on my nerves because everyone in this generation seems to have "swagger"; people think they have "swagger" because they match their clothes and they used colours in their clothing, the people that have claimed they have got "swagger" are people that wear block coloured clothing and then they believe it looks good but personally i believe it just looks boring!!

I understand that everyone nowadays wants to look "unique" but instead some people go the extra mile by looking very "unique" and they just end up looking like trend killers instead of trend setters. During my very boring holidays, i've been on Facebook aimlessly looking at peoples pictures and i sometimes see captions such as "my swagger is hard" and seeing stuff like that just makes me laugh because when i look at what they are wearing, every item of clothing looks really wrong.

understanding the word "swagger" in more detail, i checked for the definition of swagger on the Internet and these are the definitions I found:

  • Meaning #1: to walk with a lofty proud gait, often in an attempt to impress others

  • Meaning #2: discourage or frighten with threats or a domineering manner; intimidate

  • Meaning #3: act in an arrogant, overly self-assured, or conceited manner

These kind of definitions makes me reconsider people that mention the statement, "a swagger like mine".

I also found a British definition of "swagger" and the definition is kinda reasonable considering what people are trying to achieve by using the word:

  • Meaning #1: (British informal) very chic

Those definitions are dictionary definitions(I think)...anyways my personal definition of the over used word "swagger" is someone that uses colours and unusual designs in their attire and another definition is someone that wears colours that riot but looks unique and someone that is a trendsetter.

To close this post , i will include some celebs that I think really have "SWAGGER":

I love her style because it very unique and it's very 80's with all the pastel colours going on; I like it!.speaking of pastel colours i found some beautiful pastel coloured sneakers by Reebok, I'm not a sneaker/trainers person but these sneakers would make me feel like I've got "swagger"....

I also love Keds but i would love this pair because they make me think 'I've got colours that are not on the rainbow(lol)'.

SHOE LOVE
I love this shoes it's got everything you might need in a pair of heels; it's got a lovely platform front, the heel is reasonable and it has a gladiator look that I love and the Shoe is from Fendi and it cost a lovely amount of £405.00.

another celeb that I think has really got "swagger" is Kanye West he has this very futuristic style which i like and most of the clothing items I like are very futuristic or very 80's.
and that it from me today until next time.....

well today is my birthday(not my cake^^ but it looks to beautiful to eat) and i had exams; of all subjects french it went quite and there has been a lot of birthday wishes from everyone since 12 in the morning(i appriaciate you guys). i haven't gotten presents from my family, it still hasn't been delivered(i wonder what it is......), so far today has been wonderful and i can't believe i am 16!!, but I give all the glory to God for keeping me alive till this day.

talking about birthday present a pair of Christian louboutin shoes wont be bad(looooooooooooool never going to happen!)

hot shoes! but sadly they all cost from £500- £750( too expensive!)

i also found a dress for my ROA day but i'm not sure if i'm going to purchase it but here it is...

i found this dress on the oasis website(sorry the image is very tiny) and it costs £70 but luckily it is now on sale and it costs £40 now.

i thought that this shoes would look really nice with the dress, and the sole of the shoes make me feel like its a Christian Louboutin knock-off but with pink soles, i found the shoes on the faith website and it costs £52 and it was reduced from £65; so might aswell get it.

i absolutely love this shoe and it would look lovely with the dress as well, it looks very Christian Louboutin(ah red bottoms) and its the same price as the first one.

i think this dress is absolutely beautiful, i love the asymetrical style and it's from Monsoon and it costs £160.00

i also this shoe would go with the dress and it's from faith and i can't remember how much it costs.

finally, i have posted the picture of my textiles coursework i look pregnant coz i was wearing my school skirt underneath it... and i did not post the frontview coz my face looks digusting(i'm not vain).

back view :D

front view and i know the sequins look tacky but i stayed up till 3:00 in the morning sewing it on by hand, so i'm very proud of myself.

anyways thats it from me, until next time......

Cultural Craze pt 1

.

wow!
I haven't posted in a long time, really need to find more time to post things.
well this would be my part on looking at different cultures, some of the things hapening in different countries if I

ever get the chance to leave Britain.

As a young girl I have always had a very keen interest in different countries and cultures and a passion that one day I can leave this Burning abyss called the uk.Well yesterday I was looking for some new gospel music, I could add to my playlist and out of curiosity I thought

And then after a long thought process, i decided to google it and to my surprise,

they actually do gospel!!!

I felt surprised and yet a joy that they do it because for anyone who has ever been on youtube ( youtube is really becoming my best freind, it is becoming my second google) who has been interested in japanese culture and is black, you see alot of vids saying that they are racist, they are not racist, there isn't alot of christianity and how as a christaian they don't really fully understand the whole thing about really being a christian and the joy you get from loving God.

so as I am, like any *cough*geek*cough*, I decided to do some reaserch on this new discovery, and link after link after link I found that alot of the gospel they do is in english and alot of the songs are what pentcostal churches use in services however, there is an uprising in gospel in their own language.

looking at the vids and seeing how it touched them and how they were singing from their hearts, really touched me because everyone knows Japan to be that country where they are very reserved and won't really get up and start dancing and clapping at the sound Jesus. My first interpretation of christianity in Japan was that alot of the young people there would only have become christian because they idolise western culture, but after seeing some of the vids there are some devouts out there.

A japanese gospel singer whose music I did enjoy to hear was Kaori yamamoto. she has a few songs in english and others in japanese.

http://http//www.omf.org/omf/japan/resources/japanese_gospel_singers

Links about it

and finally some youtube vids, i found out that it was a project called M.A.J, where churches from America came to Japan.

Bye bye, now to find random topics for my next post.
